What was the highlight of Pestana Palace Lisboa Hotel
Very pleasurable stay will definitely recommend to friends and family! Especially in spring time
The palace is beautiful and feels like you are diving into the history of kings and queens of Portugal when you are staying there. The staff was amazing and made us feel like at home they went above and beyond. Breakfast was phenomenal ! The view from rooms is beautiful and it is super quiet at night , we slept with open windows and did not hear anything apart from planes , but even planes only start flying in the morning time so at night it’s a great sleep.
Food in the bar was not very tasty you will have to dine outside anywhere in Lisbon because it tastes better. As we stayed in January it was quite cold whole rooms are heated up well, the walk from the rooms to the breakfast area was very cold. Originally we wanted to celebrate New Years in the hotel however we decided not to as it would have been too cold to wear dresses.

We loved the staff! It was my mother's 73rd birthday and they went above and beyond! A beautiful cake was waiting in our room. We loved the beauty of the place and felt like royalty. It was such a special experience.

What was the highlight of Pestana Palace Lisboa Hotel
Truly feels like a palace, truly is a palace, a fantastic get-away to be the celebrity inside you.
Beautiful garden-like hotel grounds, sculptures, paintings, truly a palace! Modern gym, indoor/outdoor pool, terrace breakfast, even a bird sanctuary to discover as you walk the paths between the hotel main buildings.
Some areas of the hotel were not maintained, with musty smells and dust and storage, so it was more comfortable to only walk in the most-used parts of the hotel. I requested a bottle of wine from room service and it never came, I requested 3 times. I wasn't charged for the bottle, but it seems the staff becomes overwhelmed and ignores non-urgent requests during busy times. The real problem is the staff says they will do it, but then don't.

wonderful stay in splendid hotel in breathtaking palace, with incredibly kind, warm hearted staff
incredibly impressive, gorgeous building - a historical palace, beautifully renovated at the start of the century. The setting is genuinely awe-inspiring, the most beautiful breakfast room I've ever seen, stunning lounge areas, sumptuous gardens, beautiful outdoor pool. All the public areas are fantastic. Go up to the conference rooms area for stunning views of Lisbon (pity there are no rooms up there!). The setting is really breathtaking. But the best asset of this hotel is the truly extremely warm, charming, caring staff - some of the nicest I've ever come across. The pastry chef made a beautiful cake as a surprise for our daughter's birthday and there where many more lovely touches :))
The 'standard' rooms are actually rather small, smaller than one might expect. On this occasion we were part upgraded/part paid for a family suite, which was very lovely - but is normally rather pricey.. It was extremely nice, and 'homey'. It does look like the rooms and corridors could do with some loving care - some things look bit dated/faded/not-looked after. But maybe this doesn't matter, when there is so much charm and also beauty around.
